| In the dynamic electricity market the need has arisen for a method for allocating transmission capacities on the cross border interconnectors. Especially between the Netherlands and the neighbouring countries the request for a method was strongly heard in the market. For that reason in spring 2000 the four concerning Transmission System Operators decided upon the joint auctioning of cross border electricity transfer capacity. The four TSOs are the Belgian ELIA System Operator NV, the Dutch TenneT and RWE and E.on Netz from Germany. TSO Auction is a wholly owned subsidiary of TenneT. They have commissioned the carrying out of the auctions to TSO Auction BV. | |
